I have a lot of thoughts in my head. I am sitting in front of my computer and writing this with no specific idea in my head. All of them are random. I can’t think of anything or anyone. I am at lost. The first two days of 2009 has been the worst days of my life. Things aren’t going how they’re supposed to. It’s very rough.
Why do we have to be like this? I don’t know who to blame. I blame myself but I don’t know if I am right. I guess I’ll stop blaming anyone.
There are things that makes us strong and there are also those that makes us weak. I really don’t know. It’s very random. I am in the middle of a crisis and I don’t know what to do. I don’t know how to fix things. Nobody does.
I always wished someday things fall where they should but I have no idea when that day’s gonna be. Is it today? Is it tomorrow? Nobody knows.
I’ve been selfish. I only care about myself, my own pleasure. I never cared about its implications to others. A huge mistake that I don’t have any idea to straighten out.
Now everything has sinked in. Everything’s killing me every minute. I am in deep pain. It feels like my heart is being pricked by a meter-long needle. My life’s being sucked out of me each time the clock ticks.
I don’t know what to do. I have no idea how to straighten things out. I am not expecting things will get better any time soon. I am preparing myself to face whatever will happen.
I am in deep pain. So deep that I don’t know what I really feel right now. I am angry, sad, depressed, anxious and what not. Name them all.
I am sorry for this random thoughts. And to you I am sorry for all my mistakes. I can’t blame anyone if I can’t be forgiven. I am not expecting you to talk to me anytime soon but remember I am just here waiting for your call. Hope it won’t be too long.
Just making a quick post about this recent incident in the Philippines wherein a Mayor beats up a 56-year old father and his 14-year old son at the Valley Golf and Country Club in Antipolo City, Philippines.
Remember my post about Smart Bro? I reconnected the service again because I have no choice. There’s no other ISP available in my area. I applied for Digitel Broadband service last December 5 because their sales agent promised the service will be installed on December 12. Today is December 18 and I haven’t received any feedback from them.
I called the business center in Palico IV, Imus to inquire about the status of the application and instead of assistance, the person I talked to told me “Pumunta nalang kayo dito at may gagawin pa akong reports (Come over our office instead because I have reports to do).” Isn’t that annoying and he really pissed me off. After he said those words he immediately hang up the phone. I called again to complain and the lady I talked to asked for my contact number. As expected no feedback whatsoever.
Is this what you call customer service? Is this how you treat potential customers? You are misleading your potential customers.
Just want to make a quick round-up of events in the past week.
December 9, 2008 Tuesday - Nutrilite “EveryKickCounts” event at Ace Building in Legazpi Village. I was with Mica, Winston, LA and Fritz. This is probably the shortest event I’ve attended. After the event we went to Starbucks for some crazy chit-chats.
December 10, 2008 Wedenesday - TV5 “Shake Mo Blog Mo” event at Chili’s Greenbelt 1. I came from work so I arrived really late. Actually the event’s over when I arrived.
December 11, 2008 Thursday - Abenson’s Special Holiday Sale at Glorietta 5. Again I arrived late.
I hope these events happen later at night so I can be on time :D Well I’ll try to be on time on the events to come.
After about 20 days of using a MacBook Unibody, I decided to get myself a MacBook Pro Unibody because of my Applications Development requirements. The MacBook is not powerful enough to cope up with my needs. I’ve been using my new MacBook Pro for about 5 days now and here’s my review about this new generation of MacBook Pro.
So what’s changed?
Precision Aluminum Enclosure - the enclosure of the new MacBook Pro is made from a single block of aluminum and is almost seamless with only two panels at the bottom. The brushed finish is also a real beauty.
LED-backlit LCD - the LCD is now LED-backlit unlike the CCFL-backlit display of the old MacBook Pro. The display panel is also 30% thinner because of the new display technology.
Button-less Glass Trackpad - the trackpad of the new MacBook Pro is bigger and button-less and made of glass. It’s button-less because the trackpad itself is a button. The new glass material makes the trackpad smooth and easier to use.
It’s Thinner at 0.95 inch - the last generation of MacBook Pro is thin at 1 inch thick but this new generation is even thinner at 0.95 inch thick.
Illuminated Keyboard - the keyboard of the new MacBook Pro is that of the MacBook Air. It’s illuminated that makes working in the low-light conditions a breeze. Of course the luminuosity can be adjusted through the newly added function keys.
Mini DisplayPort - Apple has removed the DVI port and replaced it with the industry standard Mini DisplayPort. Adapters are not included though.
No More Firewire 400 - The new MacBook Pro now has only one Firewire 800 port unlike before it has one Firewire 400 and one Firewire 800.
New GPU - the new MacBook Pro comes with a built-in shared Video, the NVidia 9400M. It also has NVidia 9400 GT with dedicated 256MB or 512MB VRAM. (256MB for the 2.4GHz and 512MB for the 2.54GHz)
Longer Battery Life - Apple claims 5 hours of mobile productivity with the new Lithium Polymer battery of the MacBook Pro. It has been tested to last 5 hours when using the NVidia 9400M GPU with shared memory. I tested mine while running on the dedicated video and I got 4 hours of mobile productivity with Wi-Fi turned on.
The eclosure has two pannels at the bottom. The battery panel where you’ll see the battery and the hard drive. It’s now easier to upgrade the harddrive unlike before. Replacing or upgrading the Memory modules now requires you to remove the bigger panel using standard philips screw driver. Instructions on these can be found on the printed documentation that came with the MacBook Pro.
The new LCD is glossy unlike the matte finish of the last generation MacBook Pro’s LCD. This is one thing I don’t like. Working outdoors renders the screen unreadable even if the brightness is set to the highest level.
I’ve been a Smart Bro subscriber since November 1 of last year and since the service was installed all I had is headache. Slow connection, disconnected service, unreliable service, awful customer support and what not. Right now my service is disconnected because of of 80+ pesos balance on the account that I didn’t know of until yesterday because I don’t receive my monthly billing statement on time. I’ve settled the balance and the account was reactivated and after a few hours deactivated again.
3 or 4 months ago I lost connection because of faulty cables. I called customer support to request for a technician but they denied my request because according to them the connection is fine. How can the connection be fine and working if I can’t get online? How did they know that it’s working if they don’t see it from the the premises? So that happened and I had no choice but to fix the cabling myself to get a connection. After a day I was able to find where the problem is and I fixed it. After that I called customer support again to inform them of what happened and I got the usual reply, “Sir, your concern has been forwarded to our support group for further investigation.” Of course I got no feedback whatsoever.
So to cut the story short, I never got reliable service from Smart Broadband, Inc. I am ditching this ISP now and switching to Digitel DSL.
